The Gilded Iguana’s Website Receives a Full, Contemporary Makeover

As the original surfer spot in Nosara, Costa Rica since 1988, The Gilded Iguana reopened in April 2018, unveiling its year-long renovations designed by, and for outdoor lovers. Along with its renovations, the property needed an enticing website design to portray its new, modern accommodations, as well as its variety of activities. In partnership with the hotel, HEBS Digital revamped the website by creating a seamless and engaging experience through various key modules and custom pages.

The new website’s homepage showcases the hotel’s spaces, restaurant, and accommodations in a continuous scroll. The Surf Club & Shop page reveals the hotel’s rich surfing history and displays all of the surfing lessons that are available through the hotel. Beyond the homepage, to accurately communicate what a stay would be like and what adventures await, custom pages were built. The Experience page is a thorough list of activities and places to experience in Nosara and the Mountain Biking page is a visual experience providing viewers a comprehensive bike tour guide. Overall, the site’s contemporary and visually captivating design balances the content of unique photography and copy to tell the property’s story.

Revenue driving modules are also an integral part of the user’s seamless experience. The Rooms Showcase displays casual yet luxurious accommodations with indoor and outdoor showers, as well as outdoor living spaces, giving guests every opportunity to connect with the surrounding natural scenery. Additionally, room rates are displayed in a clear, unique font that depicts the hotel’s distinctive image. The Groups & Meetings page allows guests to book meeting space, and the Tours page shows all of the various tour packages.
